Arsenal Signs A Clssic Defender From Bolton

Arsenal have reached an agreement to sign a classic young defender Rob Holding from Bolton Wanderers on a long-term contract.

The 20-year-old enjoyed a promising first senior campaign in 2015/16, making 30 appearances for Bolton and winning the club’s player of the season award. Holding alongside Calum Chambers was part of the England Under-21 side that won the 2016 Toulon tournament in France.

A statement by Arsenal reads: “Rob is a versatile player, comfortable at both centre back and full back, and we look forward to him joining up with the squad. His transfer is subject to the completion of regulatory processes.” The Gunners also announced that they are still in the market for another player. The Emirates stadium outfit have already signed Granit Xhaka and Takuma Asano this summer.
